What do Mary Poppins, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Dolly Parton[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Ramones[/lastfm] have in common?

Give up?

All three of them are about to receive a lifetime achievement Grammy award (Okay, maybe Mary Poppins won’t be honored but her alter-ego Julie Andrews will!)

BBC News reports [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Kingston Trio[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Juilliard String Quartet[/lastfm], jazz drummer [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Roy Haynes[/lastfm], and gospel singer [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]George Beverly Shea[/lastfm] will also receive awards during a special ceremony on February 12. The Grammys will be held the following night and will make a special reference to the lifetime achievement Grammy award winners.

Neil Portnow, president of the Academysaid  “These influential performers and brilliant innovators have been of great inspiration to our culture and industry. Their legendary work has left a lasting impression and will continue to influence generations to come.”
