Sure, Matt Lauer got to sit down with George W. Bush (NBC, Monday night at 8pm), talking to the former president about his autobiography Decision Points which hits the bookstores on November 9th. But I have an advance copy of the book. I’ve thumbed through it. I’m impressed with how transparent he is (“Today I tied my shoes for the first time,” the leader of the free world writes). Yes, he shares how he made key decisions as president and writes about both his mistakes (“Dad, this Dan Quayle would make a terrific VP!”) and his triumphs (“I hit 1,062,000 on Donkey Kong!”).
