On August 26, 1990, [lastfm]Stevie Ray Vaughan[/lastfm] played in front of a crowd of 30,000 people in Wisconsin jamming with fellow legends [lastfm]Eric Clapton[/lastfm], [lastfm]Buddy Guy[/lastfm], [lastfm]Jimmie Vaughan[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Robert Cray[/lastfm].  That evening, at 1am he boarded a helicopter which crashed during take off ending the guitarists life at age 36.

Vaughan began playing music at age 9 when he received a Sears western toy guitar for Christmas.  He went on to release eighteen albums, win multiple Grammys and become a legend among music and guitar enthusiasts.
