Comedian Bill Cosby is no stranger to Detroit and he’s back in town today.
The City of Detroit is going all out to try to get as many young people as possible back to school this year. And the effort moves into high gear today with a “Back to School Parade.”
Leading the parade will be comedian and activist Bill Cosby who really cares about what’s happening in the City of Detroit.
The parade begins at 11:30 this morning at Grand Circus Park on Woodward and it ends at Hart Plaza with speeches and entertainment.
The goal of the Detroit Public Schools this year is to make sure at least 77,300 students enroll for school. If the system falls short of that goal, budget cuts are almost a certainty.
