You think budgets are in bad shape in the Metro Detroit area?   Well we’re in pretty good shape compared to Newark, New Jersey.

Newark Mayor Corey Booker, in an effort to reduce costs, has ordered that the purchase of toilet paper by the city be halted immediately for use in public restrooms.

I guess if mother nature calls for folks in city buildings in Newark, they’ll be up the proverbial creek without a paddle.

Maybe they’ll post signs at the entrances to all city buildings in Newark alerting folks to:   BYOTP.
