[lastfm]Prince[/lastfm] is looking for a new outlet to distribute his music. According to Mashable Prince deplores online and other digital means of music distribution.  (May we recommend eight-tracks or cassette tapes?)

“The Internet’s completely over,” Prince said. “I don’t see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won’t pay me an advance for it, and then they get angry when they can’t get it.”

In the past Prince has declared an intent to file lawsuits against YouTube, eBay and The Pirate Bay for users’ appropriation of his music.  According to Mashable he has also refused to work with eMusic and iTunes.  He has even shut down his own official site!

So maybe Prince has a point about iTunes not coughing up an advance but can Prince battle against the internet and win? Prince’s new album 20TEN, will be released as a CD.  Are you going to the record store to buy it?  Tell us!
