The Gulf oil spill has a tail and that’s very bad news.
According to boingboing.net the tail or stream acts like a highway taking the oil toward the Louisiana coast.
Worse yet there is a current of warm water that loops through the gulf and back toward Florida and down to the Caribbean.
If the “oil highway” and this loop intersect then oil could hit the straights of Florida in as little as 8 days and from there travel further out to the Atlantic Gulf Stream.
