NEW YORK (AP) — If Conan O’Brien had to walk a mile in Jay Leno’s shoes, he would’ve walked a mile away from NBC. O’Brien tells “60 Minutes” that if he were Leno, he wouldn’t have taken back the “Tonight Show” after he was forced to give it up. He says he would’ve left and “done something else.” Which is exactly what O’Brien did when NBC asked him to move the “Tonight Show” a half-hour later. O’Brien says he quit because he couldn’t stay in such a “toxic” relationship. His interview will air on CBS this Sunday. O’Brien’s new show on TBS will premiere in November.
