congratulations on a well deserved retirement. I enjoyed listening to you dick and your crew for many years. Your a great guy dick and I am a little depressed about this. Come monday I do not know what I am going to do. I wish you the best of health happiness ang quality time with your wife and family.
I will never forget teaching “Liquidate Ohio State and Humble Woody Hayes, They breed a lot of cattle in Columbus, Send them home to graze …. Down with Ohio State they’re a no nothin party school” to my young 4 year old son (1979?). I still have it on tape. Great memories Mr. Purtan! Take care!
Thanks for all the good times,Dick,, I was so moved by your final song. Was it “Softly as I leave you” by Matt Monroe.
Will I ever find it? It was my very favorite song so many years ago. Thank you for playing it once more.. I thought it wwwmight be Frank Sinatra but it was Matt’s song.
